I graduated from the Nova Scotia SPCA College of Animal Welfare in 2025 and have always had a special connection with animals. I grew up in a family where our home and yard were always full of animals, we raised chickens, geese, and ducks, and there was never a shortage of furry or feathered friends around us.
As I grew older, I realized how much animals have always been a part of my happiness and everyday life. I chose to become a Veterinary Assistant because I wanted to bring that connection back into my life, while also learning how to care for animals properly and support them and their families.
I enjoy spending my days around animals, helping with their care, and learning something new with every patient. Being able to make an animal feel safer, more comfortable, and cared for makes my work especially meaningful to me.
